NATCHEZ — The Adams County Board of Supervisors will appoint a new Justice Court Judge to replace Judge Audrey Minor, who resigned Friday morning.
Minor confirmed her resignation Friday morning. She said she resigned for health reasons.
County Attorney Scott Slover said the new judge appointed by the supervisors will serve until a special election can be held in November 2025.
Minor was in Jackson Friday morning when she resigned. She was there for a hearing before the Mississippi Judicial Performance Commission to answer a complaint filed against her by former Judge Eileen Maher.
Maher confirmed making the complaint against Minor but would not provide details.
