Man arrested related to shooting after homecoming celebration

Fayette Police Department arrested a man Monday related to a shooting incident Sept. 21 following a homecoming celebration, police said.
One unnamed man was shot and several vehicles and an apartment building were damaged by gunfire on Main Street in Fayette on Sept. 21.
Ronald Thompson III, 25, was arrested Sept. 30 on charges related to the shooting and released on a $40,000 bond following his initial court appearance.
Investigations of the incident are ongoing and other arrests and charges are pending, police said. No other details were released.
