NATCHEZ — One man was shot Tuesday night while wrestling with another man for a gun during a dispute about money at Cambridge Heights Apartments.

Natchez Police Department investigator Juan McDonald said Jewel Coach Jr., 21, 58 Eagles Nest Road, was reportedly confronted by Jawan Jackson because Coach owed Jackson approximately $140. Jackson reportedly pulled out a 9 millimeter gun that belonged to Jewel. The gun went off while the men were wrestling, and a bullet struck Jewel in the scrotum.

McDonald said Coach was taken by ambulance to Natchez Community Hospital for treatment and was released Thursday morning.
