VIDALIA — Services for C.J. Swillie, 67, of Vidalia, who died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, in Vidalia, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Young’s Funeral Home in Vidalia with Glen Waller officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Swillie was born July 31, 1944, in Clark, La., the son of Wonnie Fate Swillie and Addie Lee Ables. He was employed by Corr-Williams in Natchez as a warehouse supervisor.

Mr. Swillie also a member of Panola Woods Country Club in Ferriday.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ray C. Swillie.

Survivors include his wife, Annie “Bell” Swillie; one daughter, Liz Walker of Vidalia; one granddaughter, Kaytlyn Walker of Vidalia; two brothers, James Williams Swillie of Natchez and Edward “Corky” Ables of Ferriday; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Gary Waller, Mathus Waller, Trevor Waller, David Swillie, Justin Swillie and Pete Ezell.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Panola Woods Men’s Golf Association, employees of Corr-Williams and Marsalis Beverage Company.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
