NATCHEZ — Two people were taken to the hospital after an SUV and an 18-wheeler collided at the red light beside Walmart Thursday night.

Natchez Police Detective Jerry Ford said the driver of the 18-wheeler, Howard Levy, reported that the SUV driver, Michael Muhammad, ran the red light coming out of Walmart.

Ford said Levy reported that he was going about 20-30 mph and could not stop in time to avoid hitting Muhammad.
