LIBERTY — Services for Willie Taplin Sr., 90, of Gloster, who died Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at Southwest Regional Medical Center in McComb, will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at Allen Temple Church of God in Christ in Liberty with the Rev. James B. Allen officiating.

Burial will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Sunday at the church.

Mr. Taplin was born June 12, 1922, in Liberty, the son of Marshall and Ethel Caston Taplin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Viola Taplin; one daughter, Mary Matthews; 10 sisters; and three brothers.

Survivors include two daughters, Ruth T. Porter and Irlean T. Robinson; four sons, Willie Taplin Jr., Robert Taplin, Edward Taplin and Henry Taplin; three sisters, Mable Taplin, Irma Taplin and Minnie Taplin; one brother, Julious Taplin; 20 grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
