Thursday, Dec. 6:


Charles Buchanan has his probation revoked in Judge Lillie Sanders’ court for violating terms and conditions of his probation: rule numbered Ten (10): not violate any laws in this state or the United States. Sentenced to one year in the Mississippi Department of Corrections to run concurrently with the sentenced presently being served.



Thursday, Nov. 29:


Keldrick Washington pleaded guilty to manslaughter in Judge Forest “Al” Johnson’s court. Sentenced to 15 years in MDOC. After serving five years, said sentence is to be suspended and the defendant is placed on post-release supervision for 10 years with the first five years being formal reporting supervision with MDOC and the remaining five years being informal post-release supervision. Credit given for time served in the Adams County Jail. Must pay a prosecution fee of $200 and all court costs and fees.
Jessie McKnight pleaded guilty to felony false pretenses in Sanders’ court. Sentenced to five years in MDOC to run concurrently with sentence in cause numbered 08KRo193A-S. Upon release from MDOC, the defendant must pay all court costs and a prosecution fee of $200 in the office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk. Credit given for any time already served.

Friday, Nov. 30:


Jeremy Jermaine Ealey, 27, charged with disorderly conduct — failure to comply with officer. Case remanded to files at request of officer.

Lejarius McGuire, 22, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance with intent. Sentenced to 58 days suspended for two years pending good behavior. Fine set at $450. McGuire also pleaded guilty to no driver’s license. Fine set at $325. McGuire also pleaded guilty to failure to maintain insurance proof in vehicle. Fine set at $564. McGuire also pleaded guilty to careless driving. Fine set at $180. McGuire also pleaded guilty to DUI — other substance. Sentenced to 48 hours. Fine set at $730. McGuire also pleaded guilty to DUS — implied consent. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $640. McGuire also pleaded guilty to failure to maintain insurance proof in vehicle. Fine set at $264.
Jemicka Lynette Johnson, 32, charged with shoplifting — third offense (felony). Case bound over to a grand jury after preliminary hearing held in absence.
Michael Coleman Jr. pleaded guilty to misdemeanor possession of stolen property. Sentenced to 60 days suspended for two years pending good behavior. Banned from Belk. Fine set at $450.



Wednesday, Dec. 5:


Brooke Watson, 28, found guilty of disturbing the peace — domestic violence. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $644.
