FERRIDAY — Memorial services for Henry Marion “Bubba” Rucker, 63, who died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at Heritage Man or Rehab in Ferriday, will be announced at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Mr. Rucker was born Aug. 19, 1949, in Ferriday, the son of Henry and Margaret Rucker. He had lived in Houston, Texas since 1972, and worked as a shipping agent for a number of international shipping companies. He retired in 2010.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include two older brothers, John Mell Rucker and William Howard “Billy” Rucker; he was blessed with one daughter, Natalie Ater Quimby; two granddaughters, Whitney and Emily; and one great-grandson, Cooper.

He also enjoyed a lifelong friendship with Lloyd “Buddy” Paul.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Sevier Memorial United Methodist Church or a favorite charity.
