HOUSTON — Services for Lee Ester Hayes Johnson, 67, of Houston and formerly of Natchez, who died Wednesday, March 18, 2009, in Houston, will be at 11 a.m. today at Wilderness Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul D. Landrew officiating and the Rev. Robert Strickland as master of ceremonies.

Burial will follow at the Providence Cemetery under the direction of Frazier Mitchell Funeral Services.

Mrs. Johnson was born July 17, 1941, in Adams County, the daughter of Walter Hayes Sr. and Luella Bargie Hayes.

She was a member of St. Stephen Baptist Church in Houston.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Margueritte Faulkner.

Survivors include her husband, Henry Ed Johnson; two daughters, Elizabeth Dunmore of Beaumont, Texas, and Deborah Fuller and husband Nathaniel of Natchez; two sons, Christopher Fulton and wife Martha and Roger Fuller, all of Natchez; one sister, Clarena Hayes Jones of Natchez; two brothers, Walter Hayes Jr. and the Rev. James E. Hayes, all of Houston; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
