CLAYTON — Services for Carl “D-Man” Russell Dangerfield, 62, of Ferriday, formerly of Lake Charles, La., who died Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Dubuis Hospital of Lake Charles, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mark Baptist Church in Clayton with the Rev. Rickey O’Quinn officiating.

Burial will be at noon Friday at Combre Memorial Park Cemetery in Lake Charles under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the church.

Mr. Dangerfield was born Nov. 23, 1950, in Lake Charles, the son of Perry Dangerfield Sr. and Sadie Rankins Dangerfield. He was a graduate of Grambling State University.

Mr. Dangerfield was retired from Ferriday High School as band director.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria Wright Dangerfield; two daughters, Wynetta Dangerfield of Vicksburg and JerRees Dangerfield of Lake Charles; one brother, Perry Dangerfield Jr. and wife, Sheree, of Liberty, Texas; one sister, Juanita Buckley and husband, Shell, of Bogulusa, La.; two grandchildren, Nayzja Smith and Zachary Robinson Jr., both of Lake Charles; two aunts, Della Rankins of Lake Charles and Patsy Rankins of California; one uncle, Ovy Rankins of California; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
