Mr. and Mrs. John Michael Simonton of Natchez announce the engagement of their daughter, Kara Michelle Simonton, to Jonathan Scott Olsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Olsen of Dublin, Ohio.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Cathedral High School in Natchez and is a graduate of the University of Mississippi in Oxford. She is employed by Johnson & Johnson in Columbia, S.C. She is the granddaughter of the late Della Biglane Simonton and Henry E. Simonton of Natchez and Yvonne Anderson and the late Jerry Anderson of Ocean Springs.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pa., and the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth in Hanover, N.H. He is employed by Americore in Dallas.

He is the grandson of Mrs. Fran Shaw and the late Mr. Leonard F. Shaw of Kennebunkport, Maine, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Olsen of Salt Lake City, Utah.

The wedding will be Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Brandon Hall Plantation in Natchez.
