WOODVILLE — Rising Wilkinson County High School senior quarterback/defensive back Devin Voorhies was named to The Clarion-Ledger’s Dandy Dozen list, the Jackson newspaper announced Sunday.

Voorhies, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound athlete, is currently committed to LSU. He threw for 1,530 yards and eight touchdowns for the Wildcats last season, and he also rushed for 700 yards and 16 touchdowns on 78 carries.

Voorhies was named first-team quarterback on The Natchez Democrat’s 2012 All-Metro football team following last season.
