NATCHEZ – Services for Vanelia “Moma Doll” Tyler, 86, of Natchez who died Monday, March 10, 2008, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at noon Saturday at Bethlehem Baptist Church, in Cannonsburg, with the Rev. John H. Hawkins officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tyler was born June 9, 1921, in Jefferson County, the daughter of William and Alice Fulton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Andrew A. Tyler; one son, Roosevelt Tyler; and siblings, Eugenia Watson, Mary Fulton, Matill Fulton, Patsy Fulton, Roosevelt Fulton, Lorenzo Fulton, James Fulton, Willie Fulton and Melvin Fulton.
Survivors include her daughter, Debra Griffin and husband, Sandy Jr.; granddaughter, Sanita Freeman and husband, Franklin; two great-grandchildren, Brandon and Jasmine Freeman; one sister, Worrie Wilson; and two godchildren, Alice Marie Jackson and Yolanda McKnight.
