Virgil George

ST. LOUIS – Virgil George, of St. Louis, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, in St. Louis.
He was born Nov. 8, 1921, in Natchez, the son of Harry Banks George and Lillian Graf George. He was a past master mason of the Andrew Jackson Lodge. He retired in 1986 from McDonald Douglas (Boeing), in St. Louis, after 36 years.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Theising; his parents; twin brother, Vernon George and brother, Harry Banks George Jr.; and two sisters, Ethel Dunn of Lorman and Mildred Calhoon of Natchez.
Survivors include his dear wife of 55 years, June Chumley George; one daughter, Susan Andrews and husband, Tim; son-in-law, Andrew Theising; and four much loved grandchildren, Evan Theising, Jack, Joe and Blake Andrews.
He was a very special uncle, brother-in-law and friend to all who knew him.
Mr. George chose to donate his body to Washington University and will be honored with a gathering of remembrance for family and friends in St. Louis Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008.
