FAYETTE — Services for Levi James, 83, of Fayette, who died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Hollywood Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. E.E. Colenberg Sr. officiating.

Burial will follow at Rose Hill #2 Baptist Church Cemetery in Fayette under the direction of Spencer Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. James was born April 29, 1930, in Jefferson County, the son of Jessie James Sr. and Zenada Jones-James.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Hattie Smith James; four sisters, Eunice Ellis, Bessie Washington, Hazel Wallace and Mary James; three brothers, Jessie James Jr., Rev. Willie James and Sam Jones.

Survivors include five daughters, Gretanora Smith, Denise Wilson and husband Wilbert, Delories James, Addelena Lowe all of Fayette, and Josie Campbell and husband Walter of McCall Creek,;

five sons, Bishop Curtis Smith and wife LaToyia of Natchez, Robert Smith and wife LaDina all of Forth Worth, Texas, Terry Smith and Kennie Rowan of Fayette and Earl Smith and wife Joyce of Lorman; three grandchildren he raised, Byris Smith and wife Jewell of Vicksburg, Kimberly Nichols and husband Christopher and Lazarius King all of Fayette; 23 grandchildren, t24 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
