The Natchez restaurant is one of four owned and operated by Gary Small, also of Natchez.

Thompson has been a McDonald’s manager since 2001 and has run the Morgantown location since that time.

She oversees 75 employees and has trained many of the company’s managers. Under her management, McDonald’s restaurants have consistently exceeded sales and transaction goals.

“Faye is committed to her people, her organization and her community and that is what drives her to achieve,” Human Resource Representative Colleen Palmer said. “It’s always a pleasure to visit her restaurant and see the pride she has in her people and service, not to mention the pleasant atmosphere of her restaurant.”

The Ray Kroc Award is given annually to 142 managers.

Named after McDonald’s corporate founder Ray Kroc, the award is given to managers who deliver superior results in achieving operational excellence, reinforcing McDonald’s commitment to people and building the business.
