NATCHEZ — After a couple of rounds of rain moved through the Miss-Lou region between late Sunday night and sporadically throughout Monday, several area baseball and softball games were called off.

Cathedral High School’s junior varsity and varsity home softball games against non-region rival Franklin County High School was cancelled. Cathedral head coach Gary Blackwell said those games will not be made up.

Blackwell added that today’s MHSAA Region 7-1A game at archrival St. Aloysius in a varsity-only contest will probably be postponed until Wednesday at a time to be determined due to all the rain that fell in Vicksburg on Monday.
