NATCHEZ — Services for Brenda Carter Green, 49, of Woodbridge, Va., who died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. James Washington officiating.

Burial will follow at St. Charles Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Green was born Sept. 23, 1961, in Natchez, the daughter of Odell Carter Jr. and Camille Jackson Carter Green. She attended Adams County public schools and was a 1979 graduate of South Natchez High School. She was a member of St. Charles Baptist Church.

Mrs. Green was employed by Belk department store, formerly McRae’s, with more than 20 years of service where she was a sales manager.

She was preceded in death by her father and stepfather, Alonzo “Pete” Green Sr.

Survivors include four sons, Greg Carter of Dallas, Joseph Green Jr. and Jeriame Green, both of Natchez, and Johnathan Green of Dumfries, Va.; her mother of Natchez; three grandsons; six sisters, Mary Green and husband, Larry, of Fort Worth, Texas, Ameldia Evans of Dumfries, Cynthia Camphor and husband, Sam, Diane Washington, Carolyn Green and Gwendolyn Jackson, all of Natchez; seven brothers, Leon Jackson and wife, Eloise, Michael Carter and wife, Gwen, Alonzo Green Jr. and wife, Renee, Tyrone Green and wife, Shonta, all of Natchez, Odell Carter III and wife, Geraldine, of Lanham, Md., Steven Carter of Dumfries and Terry Green and wife, Valorie, of Sacramento, Calif.; two aunts, Melissa Bolden of Champagne, Ill., and Bessie Davis of Natchez; two uncles, Willie Carter and wife, Gertrude, of Natchez and Mitchell Jackson and wife, Hilda, of Metarie, La.; one great-aunt, Barbara Newman of Chicago; two great-uncles, Tom Davis and Phillip Curtis, both of Chicago; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be family members.
