VIDALIA — The Concordia Parish 10-year-old All-Star team saw its season come to an end as it lost to the East Ouachita All-Stars 10-4 in an elimination game Tuesday afternoon at the Louisiana Dixie Youth District 5 Tournament.

“The boys played well for about three innings. Defensively and offensively, we played a good game. We just played a real good team,” Vidalia head coach Dr. Justin Gregg said.

During the tournament, Vidalia’s bats didn’t get going until at least the fourth inning.

“We played a good game. They just one-upped us (today),” Gregg said.

Concordia Parish used three pitchers during the game and Gregg noted that East Ouachita did a good job hitting the ball off all three of them. He noted his team made a couple of costly base-running mistakes.

“We didn’t execute on the bases,” Gregg said.
