Billy and Linda Byrnes of Vidalia and Tom and Bracie-Lyn Cooke of Summerville, S.C., announce the engagement of their daughter, Summer Byrnes Riddick to Brian Lee McJimsey, son of the late Jerry McJimsey and Margaret Lasyone of Ferriday.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Vidalia High School and received an associate degree from Southwest Baptist University in Boliver, Mo.

She is the granddaughter of Vernon and Margie Byrnes of Natchez and Patricia Smith of Summerville and the late Bracie Smith of Vidalia.

The groom-to-be attended Ferriday High School and has been employed by Bug Busters in Vidalia for 17 years. He is the grandson of the late Willie and Argle McJimsey of Ferriday and the late Howard and Mattie Hamilton of Monterey.

The wedding will be at 5 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014, at Panola Woods Country Club in Ferriday.

A reception will follow at the country club.

Family and friends are invited.
