WOODVILLE — Services for Edward Smith, 75, of Doloroso, who died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Atford Creek Church of Christ in Doloroso.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Smith was born Oct. 23, 1932, in Wilkinson County, the son of Elbert and Essie Smith.

He was educated in the Wilkinson County school system and was employed by Quinn Logging Company.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Alice, Mildred and Irene Smith; three brothers, Albert, Doug and Alfred Smith Sr.; and two sons, Edward Smith Jr. and Renee Williams.

Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Mae Smith of New Orleans; one brother, C.J. Smith of Doloroso; 11 children; and a number of other relatives and friends.
