MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Services for LaVeetra Tremell Mathis, 37, of Memphis, Tenn., who died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, will be at noon Saturday at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel in Memphis, Tenn.

Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Southwoods under the direction of Serenity Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Ms. Mathis was born Oct. 13, 1977, the daughter of Jewell and Ellen Mathis.

She was a 1995 graduate of Melrose High School.

LaVeetra was a loving mother, gifted cosmetologist and a dedicated caretaker of her mother and aunt, Alfredia M. Graham.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Survivors include her father and wife, Joyce Arceneaux-Mathis, of Natchez; two sisters, Sharnell Mathis of Memphis and Joycelyn Yvette Hooker of Natchez; two brothers, Jewell Mathis Jr. of Memphis and Terrell Keith Mathis of Jacksonville, Fla.; three daughters, Torian Mathis, Kya Mathis and Jada Northern; three sons, Kendall Mathis, Charles Northern Jr. and Charles Northern III; a special aunt, Alfredia M. Graham; and a number of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
