NATCHEZ — An Adams County woman was arrested Wednesday for allegedly shooting at a boat because the occupants wouldn’t let her join them fishing.

Shannon Kristi Huseman, 44, 78 Lake Montrose Road, was booked into the Adams County jail on a bench warrant for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

An Adams County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson said Huseman allegedly began shooting at a boat on Lake Montrose with a 22-caliber rifle after the men wouldn’t let her in the boat.

Huseman mistakenly thought the men had told her she could join them fishing, the spokesperson said, and a landowner in the area reportedly told deputies Huseman was “harassing” people all of the day of the incident.

Huseman was detained Wednesday on a $5,000 bond.
