Hats off to Natchez! My wife and I made our first trip to Mississippi recently and have become fans of your city.

We enjoyed the literary festival, the Mystic Krewe of Alpheus parade, Big Mama’s, the Eola, the old cemetery and more.

All the residents we spoke with seemed to love living there, and I liked the stories about returning natives in The Natchez Democrat’s annual Sunday “magazine,” Profile.

With luck, we’ll have a chance to return someday, too.
