NATCHEZ — Memorial services for Claude “Rat” Gerald Reeves Sr., 75, of Natchez who died Thursday, Nov. 26, 2015, at Promise Hospital, will be announced at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mr. Reeves was born Aug. 5, 1940, in Natchez, the son of Walter K. Reeves and Estelle Alford Reeves.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Claude “Jerry” Reeves Jr. and Danny Reeves.

Survivors include his wife, Julie Ann Reeves; two daughters, Cindy Reeves of Dacula, Ga., and Lynda Bailey of South Dakota; and five grandchildren, Trey, Hanna and Kayla Reeves of Oklahoma and Terry and Candi Bailey of South Dakota.

A special thanks to the staff at Promise Hospital in Vidalia and Dr. Randy Tillman and Dr. Barry Tillman.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
