NATCHEZ — Services for Aubrey L. Buckles Sr., 75, of Natchez, who died Monday, Jan. 24, 2011, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Harrigill officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Buckles was born Jan. 8, 1936, in Cannonsburg, the son of Lee Buckles and Lydia Bromley Buckles. He was retired from Natchez Coca-Cola Company after 38 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Donald Buckles and Earl Buckles.

Survivors include his wife, Elsie M. Buckles; one daughter, Tammy E. Temple of Natchez; three sons, A. Louis Buckles Jr. of Natchez, Albert L. Buckles of Vidalia and Alvin P. Buckles of Clinton; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Eula Lee Allen of Natchez, Alice Fairbanks of Kilgore, Texas and Doris Tarver of Ferriday; two brothers, Bennie Buckles of Natchez and J.B. Buckles of Baton Rouge; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Walter Ford, Jerry Buckles Sr., Jerry Buckles Jr., Ben Buckles, Lou Steele and Timothy Guice.

Honorary pallbearer will be Benny Buckles.
