DALLAS — Services for Joseph Wilson, 63, of Dallas, who died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, will be today at East Gate Baptist Church in Dallas.

Burial will follow at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery under the direction of Euergreen Funeral Home in Dallas.

Mr. Wilson was born March 27, 1947, the son of Sam and Edna Wilson. He was a graduate of Wilkinson County High School in Woodville and attended El Centro Junior College.

Joseph served in the U.S. Army for four years. He was employed by Dallas Area Rapid Transit and retired after 27 years of dedicated service.

Joseph accepted Christ at an early age, uniting with Rose Hill Baptist Church in Woodville. He later united with East Gate Baptist Church in Dallas.

He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Woodrow Wilson; and one sister, Myrtis Wilson.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Dorothy Wilson; one son, Michael; five brothers, Arthur Wilson and Thomas Wilson, both of Dallas, Lawrence Wilson of Lawton, Okla., Samuel Wilson of Woodville and Hard Wilson of Baton Rouge; three sisters, Christine Earls of Baton Rouge, Bertha Jones of Dallas and Linda Green of Gramacy, La.
