Jimmy and Elaine Pecanty of Monterey announce the engagement of their daughter, Lynette Pecanty Dorman to Norman Quincy Carlock, son of Marilyn Carlock Johnson of Ferriday.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Ferriday High School and is employed by Animal Medical Center in Natchez.

She is the granddaughter of James Pecanty and Shirley Faulkner of Ferriday and Kenneth and Edna Walker of Monterey.

The groom-to-be is also a graduate of Ferriday High School and is employed by Sulzer in LaPort, Texas and Delta Fuel in Ferriday.

He is the grandson of the late Elmer and Vivian Miller of Foss, Okla.

The wedding will be at 7 p.m., Friday, April 29, 2016, at Monterey Church of Christ.

A reception will immediately follow the ceremony at the church.

Family and friends are invited.
