ENTERPRISE, La. — Services for Ernest Blaney, 66, who died Saturday, March 26, 2011, peacefully at home, were 2 p.m. Monday at Ouachita First Baptist Church in Enterprise, La., with the Rev. James King officiating.

Burial followed at Old Pine Hill Cemetery in Sicily Island under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home in Alexandria, La.

Mr. Blaney was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Wiley Blaney; his parents, Dewey Blaney and Audrey Blaney Sumrall; stepfather, Marion Sumrall; and two brothers, Sidney Duane Blaney and Dewall S. Blaney.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Kay Blaney of Harrisonburg, La., and Terri Lynn Blaney of Jonesville; one son, Ernest Dewayne “Bubba” Blaney and wife, Sherri, of Jonesville; one sister, LaDonna Blaney Lindsey and husband, Jimmy, of Youngsville, La.; four grandchildren, Candace B. Smith and husband, Kevin, Christopher Byrnes, Derrick Blaney, Dewey Blaney and Mariah Jones; and ex-wife, Marie Blaney Ford.

Pallbearers were Charlie Blaney, Larry Cotten, Ronnie Blaney, Boo Blaney, Kippy Blaney and Jimmy Blaney.

Honorary pallbearers were Ouachita Fertilizer employees, Donnie Parks, Barry Ford, Jackie Morris, Johnny Ray McLendon and Russell Delaney.
