Hedrick said deputies conducted a search of Dorman’s residence, where four minor children were present, and reportedly located marijuana and methamphetamine.

Leslie Lovette, 27, 163 Roger Lane, Jonesville, was charged with improper supervision of a minor for allowing the children to be in an environment with drugs.

D’jon Holmes, 23, 443 Fourth St., St. Joseph, and Kyler Guin, 18, 352 Alabama St., Waterproof, were both charged with possession of marijuana, improper supervision of a minor and illegal use of a controlled substance in the presence of a child.

Michelle Hawkins, 24, 210 Florida Ave., was charged with possession of marijuana, illegal use of a controlled substance in the presence of a child and resisting an officer.

“The Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office will continue to take a strong stance against drugs,” Hedrick said. “Although we do realize you will never remove them from a community, that will not detour our efforts. I am very proud of all of my officers involved.”

As of Thursday afternoon, Dorman, Hawkins, Lovette, Guin and Holmes were in jail without a bond set.
