RIDGECREST — Memorial services for Chris Douglas, 44, who died Friday, April 1, 2011 in Jackson, will be 3 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Ridgecrest with the Rev. Denny Braswell officiating under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends starting at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2011.

Mr. Chris Douglas was born Oct. 2, 1966 in Natchez to Herbert C. Douglas Sr. and Jula Faye Estis James. He was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.

Mr. Douglas was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Jack and Nancy Estis, paternal grandparents John and Vanidra Douglas, brother-in-law Roy Dale Rushing and uncles Jarrell Wayne Estis and Jackie Estis.

Survivors include his parents Herbert Christopher Douglas Sr. of Natchez and Jula Faye Estis James of Ridgecrest; three sons, Herbert Christopher Douglas III of Vidalia, Brandon Luke Douglas of Vidalia and Wyatt Colby Douglas Kimball of Vidalia; two daughters, Jordan Alexander Douglas and Christian Paige Douglas, both of Vidalia; one brother, Wesley Estis Douglas and wife Honey Wyles Douglas of Ridgecrest; sister Sheila Douglas Rushing of Harrisonburg; twin sister Cathy Douglas Culbertson and husband Wade of Shreveport and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Honorary pallbearers will be Buddy Kirby, Jeremy Butler, R.D. Rushing, Donald Whittington, Gary Smith, Wade Kirby, Buster Douglas, Bo Estis, Pat Estis, Kevin Estis, Wyne Estis and Bill Estis.
