Natchez National Historical Park observes Black History Month, Presidents’ Day

Dressed as a Union Soldier, Natchez National Historical Park ranger Barneyt Schoby Jr. presents a program on the United States Colored Troops. Schoby’s presentation was in celebration of Black History Month and Presidents’ Day. The park’s chief of interpretation David Slay also presented a program titled “New Masters on the Mississippi: The United States Colored Troops in Natchez and Vicksburg” at the Natchez Visitor Reception Center Monday evening.
