FERRIDAY – Services for Roy L. Johnson, 31, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, April 3, 2011, at Heritage Manor Health and Rehab in Ferriday, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mercy Seat Baptist Church with the Rev. Justin Conner officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Johnson was born April 30, 1979, in Ferriday, the son of Roy Lee Henderson and Bobby Jean Johnson.

Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Terrance and Charles L. Johnson.

Survivors include one son, Jalen Turner; four brothers, Darius Johnson, both of Ferriday, Eric Johnson of Pineville, La., Caleb Johnson of New Orleans and Marcus Williams of Laplace, La.; four sisters, Jemica Johnson and Brittany Johnson, both of Ferriday, Tracey Johnson of Baton Rouge and Whitney Johnson of Houston; grandparents, Marie Tennessee and Joanna Henderson, both of Ferriday and Roy L. Henderson Sr. of New Orleans; three uncles and two aunts; great-aunt, Margaret Louise Jolla; special cousins, Lisa Sheppard and Kalvin Sheppard, all of Ferriday.
