FOULES, La. — Services for Johnny Marion Evans Sr., 65, of Ferriday, who died Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at Promise Hospital in Vidalia, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Baptist Church in Foules, La., with the Rev. T.A. Baker officiating.
Burial will follow with full military honors at the church cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Evans was a former chief of police for the Town of Ferriday. He was employed by Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office as a deputy.
Mr. Evans was retired from the U.S. Army with 22 years of service.
