Ferriday Police investigator Richard Madison said Green is the second suspect charged in an home invasion and robbery last Friday at approximately 11 p.m. in which a woman was robbed at gunpoint after two suspects kicked open the front door of her Sixth Street residence.

Donnie Sanders III, 18, 804 Eighth St., was charged previously with armed robbery and home invasion.

Madison said a home invasion charge on Green is pending.

Madison said Green and Sanders could also face charges in a second armed robbery. Early last Saturday morning after midnight, a Ferriday man was reportedly robbed by suspects matching the same description of the two allegedly involved in the Sixth Street robbery, Madison said.

The second robbery victim was allegedly pistol whipped and forced to relinquish an undetermined amount of money, Madison said. Madison said the suspects also demanded the victim strip down to his underwear and they reportedly took his clothes and boots.

Madison said the victim in the second alleged robbery was treated and released from Riverland Medical Center. The Sixth Street victim was not harmed.

Madison said he was in Baton Rouge Thursday delivering physical evidence to the state crime lab.

Anyone with information is asked to call Ferriday Police at 318-757-3606 and ask to speak to Madison. Madison said he also encouraged anyone who had been robbed recently to come forward.

“People fear for their lives and that intimidation is keeping a lot of people from coming forward,” Madison said. “We will work with them to keep their names confidential.”

Sanders was in jail Thursday on a $160,000 bond. Green was in jail Thursday with no bond set.
