FERRIDAY — Services for Renard Cage Sr., 51, of Ferriday, who died Monday, July 9, 2018, at Riverland Medical Center, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at The Harvest Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Chandler officiating.       
Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Cage was born Oct. 8, 1966, in New Orleans, the son of Eliza Cage.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Clifford Wright.
Survivors include his wife, Vernessa Rutland Cage; three sons, Brelin Cage, Tanner Cage and fiancée, Kimberly, all of Ferriday, and Benard “Scotty” Cage Jr. and wife, Keri, of Arlington, Texas; his mother; one brother, Myron “Kenny” Cage and wife, Tarvel, of Vidalia; three grandchildren; father-in-law, Earl Rutland of Clayton; brother-in-law, Rashod Rutland and wife, Cherry, of Ferriday; sister-in-law, Erica Rutland of Yukon, Okla.; two aunts, Cindy Washington and husband, Alfonso, of Melburn, Fla., and Willnetta Taylor of Albany, Ga.; one uncle, Arthur Cage of Pensacola, Fla.; and a number of other relatives and friends.
