NATCHEZ — Services for Mariah Little Smith, 83, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018, at Merit Health Natchez, will be noon Saturday at Bright Star Baptist Church with the Rev. Irving Dean officiating.  
Burial will follow in Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Visitation will continue Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time at the church.
Mrs. Smith was born on May 16, 1935, in Adams County, the daughter of Zack Little Sr. and Geraldine M. Little.
She was a graduate of the Lady of the Lake Vocational School in Baton Rouge with a degree in nursing.
Smith was employed by Natchez Regional Medical Center as a licensed practical nurse for 44 years. She was a lifelong member of the Bright Star Baptist Church.  She enjoyed cooking and reading.
Smith was preceded in death by her husband, George Smith Sr.; her parents; one sister, Geraldine Keys; three brothers, Peter, Zack II, and Charles Little.
Survivors include three sons, George Smith Jr. of Natchez, Johnny Lee Smith and wife, Jean, and Kenneth Wayne Smith, all of Jackson; one daughter, Yvonne Smith of Jackson; grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
