Senior athlete Jakarius Caston, who played running back and wide receiver on the ACCS MAIS 3A state championship team, was selected as the Offensive Most Valuable player for the district.

Caston finished the season with 109 carries for 900 yards, 13 touchdowns, was 2-2 passing for 48 yards, with 44 catches for 606 yards and 10 touchdowns.

“Jackarius is a special player,” said David King, ACCS head football coach. “He has speed and strength. He can do it all.”

King also characterized Caston as an unselfish player.

“We used him as a decoy sometimes,” King said. “Teams we played would put their best players on his side to guard him, which allowed his other teammates to step up and make plays”

King said ACCS’s seniors were close-knit silent leaders, who led by example, came to work every day, were low maintenance, didn’t ask a lot of questions and did what was expected of them every day.
