FERRIDAY — Skylar Bolyer and Sophie Cooper each hit home runs for Delta Charter School as the Lady Storm needed just three innings to take care of the Delhi High School Lady Bears 20-0 Tuesday afternoon in an LHSAA District 2-1A game.

Sydney Watts and Kenzy Hawley combined to pitch a no-hitter. Watts was the winning pitcher after two innings on the mound and Kenzy Hawley pitched the third inning.

The game was originally scheduled to take place at Delhi High School, but too much water at its softball field forced the game to be played at Delta Charter. Yet the change of location did not bother the Lady Storm at all.

Delta Charter scored nine runs in the bottom of the first inning and 11 runs in the bottom of the second. The Lady Storm didn’t even have to bat at all in the bottom of the third inning. Cooper went 2-for-3 at the plate while Jaden Boydstun, Cloi Cummings, Skylar Hawley, Tierra Jefferson, and Watts each had a single.

Delta Charter (3-4, 1-0) plays host to Ouachita Christian School with the varsity game at 5 p.m. and the junior varsity game to follow — weather permitting.
