FERRIDAY— Services for Rosie Lee Bethley, 94, of Clayton, who died Sunday, April 28, 2019, at her residence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Hill Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bethley was born July 10, 1924, in Ferriday, the daughter of Fleming Owens and Minnie Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Purcell Bethley Sr. and her parents.
Survivors include five sons, Purcell Bethley Jr. of Ferriday, Larry Bethley of Colorado Springs, Colo., Freddie Bethley and wife, Eva, Bennie Bethley and Marion Bethley; one stepson, Louis Bethley, all of Los Angeles; three daughters, Patsy Richardson of Clayton, Margie Bethley of Los Angeles and Doris Brown and husband, Kevin, of Pearland, Texas; one stepdaughter, Doris Matthews and husband, Rodney, of Ferriday; one uncle, Olee Green of Ferriday; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
