NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Robert Gene Blair, 76, who died May 20, 2019, at his residence, will be 11 a. m. Friday at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Doug Broome officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mr. Blair was born Jan. 1, 1943, in Broken Bow, Okla., the son of Odas O. Blair and Ann Frances Ware Blair.

He was a graduate of Butte Valley High School in Dorris, Calif., and was a long-standing member of Single Action Shooting Society, known by the handle “Winchester.”

Blair served as president and secretary of Natchez Six Gunners, a local SASS affiliated club. He was a proud member of the National Rifle Association (NRA) and an antique gun enthusiast. Following his retired from Pacific Gas and Electric as a meter technician, he loved travelling, golfing and building miniature replicas. As a young man, he participated in a cattle drive in the Sierra Nevada mountains and he learned to fly.  He was beloved by his family and will greatly be missed and always loved.

Blair was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Sherry Hall Blair; his stepmother, Eva Allen Blair, who raised him from the age of three; his baby sister, Julia Fay Blair; and one brother, Steven “Pete” Blair.

Survivors include his wife, Hilda Lofton Blair; one son, Michael Blair of Chico, Calif.; two daughters, Monica Good Cross of Natchez and Michelle Good Fife and husband, Brad, of Waterproof; six grandchildren, Hillary Good Firmin and husband, A. J., Madelyn Cross, Holden Hill and wife, Elizabeth, Caleb Cross and fiancée, Megan Duncan, Noah Fife and Mason Fife; five great-grandchildren, Carter Good, Chloe Firmin, Karson Mae Hill, Myles Hill, and Duncan Robert Cross; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
