Becky Carlisle and Roy and Sandi Geoghegan of Natchez announce the engagement of their daughter, Mattie Geoghegan to Eric Matthew Coons, son of Pat and Debby Coons of Floyds Knobs, Indiana.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Mississippi State University in Starkville and received her doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

She is employed by Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System in New Orleans.

She is the granddaughter of the late Jim and Jessie Carlisle of Natchez and the late Robert and Mary Golden Geoghegan of Fayette.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, with a doctorate of pharmacy.

He is employed by Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans.

He is the grandson of William and Janice Hodge and Mary Coons and the late Bernard Coons, all of Louisville, Kentucky.

A private ceremony will be held Friday, Oct. 11, 2019, at Paradigm Gardens in New Orleans.
