NATCHEZ— Services for Judge “JT” Terrell Jr., 79, of Natchez, who died Friday, Sept. 27, 2019, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at New Hope The Vision Center with the Rev. Bishop Stanley Searcy officiating.

Burial will follow at Zion Watch Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home’s Natchez chapel and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Terrell was born March 1, 1940, in Bogue Chitto, the son of Judge Terrell Sr. and Geneva Putman Terrell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Caroline “Carrie Lee” Minor; six brothers, Ernest Peavy, Leo, L.C., Doug, Richard and Leslie; and four sisters, Mazie Butler, Mary Allen, Adline and Cleo Terrell.

Survivors include eight children, Fate Terrell Boxley and husband, Charles, Silvia Terrell Johnson and husband, Davis, all of New Orleans, Audrey William and husband, Chris, of Houston, Jeff Holmes Jr. and wife, Bobbie, of Vicksburg, Alice Holmes, Diane Bonds and husband, Manuel, Delphine Evans and Nicholas C. Anderson; one brother, James Terrell of Bogue Chitto; two brothers-in-law, William Myles and Izear Myles and wife, Virginia; two sisters-in-law, Betty Mae Minor and Ada Lee Terrell of Bogue Chitto; and a number of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
