ACCS varsity hoops splits with Centreville Academy

CENTREVILLE — Adams County Christian School’s varsity basketball teams managed a split of their games at Centreville Academy Monday night.

The Rebels took care of the Tigers 62-35 for their second straight victory. Josh Credit led the way with a game-high 17 points and Vic Lassiter finished with 12 points. Wes Stockstill contributed for the Rebels (2-3) with nine points and Austin Blanton chipped in with eight points.

The Lady Rebels had no answer for Savannah Hailey, who led all scorers with 30 points to lead the Lady Tigers to a 51-22 win. Leading the way for the Lady Rebels (1-4) was Drue Boyd, who made two three-pointers and ended up with eight points. Halle Peterman and Heidi Zimmerman each scored five points while Geri Brumfield added three points.

ACCS next plays at home on Friday for four total games against Copiah Academy. The varsity girls’ game tips off at 6 p.m., followed by the varsity boys’ game at 7:30 p.m.
