Natchez National Historical Park sites to close indefinitely at noon Tuesday

The National Park Service announced Tuesday that all sites of the Natchez National Historical Park will be temporarily closed effective at noon Tuesday.

“Following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and recommendations from state and local public health authorities in consultation with National Park Service Public Health Service Officers, all sites of the Natchez National Historical Park, including Melrose and the William Johnson House, are temporarily closed to the public as of noon, March 17, 2020,” a press release states. “Updates will be posted to the park website and social media channels.”
