Lighthouse Baptist to host revival

By Morgan Mizell

NATCHEZ — Lighthouse Baptist Church will host a revival featuring well-known evangelist Don Hardman.

The revival will be from Feb. 25 through March 2 at the church at 142 Old Highway 84 No.1 in Adams County.

Hardman is a well-known evangelist who once had a street ministry in New Orleans prior to Hurricane Katrina.

Revival services are set to begin at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25, followed by dinner on the grounds. There will also be a Sunday evening service at 6 p.m. Services will begin at 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.

“Evangelist Hardman has been doing our revival services each year for several years now,” the Rev. Everett Ellzey said. “He will be the one bringing the message each night.”

Ellzey said there will probably be special singing during the services as well, but nothing had been decided at this time.

Typically, there is a theme associated with the revival, but Rev. Ellzey said it is not disclosed prior to the event.

“It is old fashioned style preaching,” Rev. Ellzey said. “We are hoping to revive and encourage Christians and see the lost accept Christ.”

There are no costs associated with the revival and all are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Nursery services will be provided, if needed, for those with small children.
