Many thanks to area funeral home

The passing of one’s mother is one of the greatest losses a person may ever experience. Mr. and Mrs. James West and staff at West Gate Funeral Home were an ongoing source of comfort and professional support during this most difficult time. My family and I wish to express our appreciation for the attention to the details that served to honor our beloved mother, Josephine Fleming.

The staff made suggestions for our consideration, phone calls to area newspapers for the printing of programs and the recommendation of a florist. The planning encompassed every aspect of the funeral arrangements. There was never a sense of being rushed and always a respect for our wishes.

It was evident that my mother’s appearance was a priority and that our satisfaction was a primary concern to the staff.

Every facet of her make-up, hair, jewelry and nails were considered and handled. I have expressed my admiration for the services rendered to many others that we fellowship with during this time. Our loss became his loss. The service to the clients is the hallmark of the business and epitomizes the commitment of a “legacy of care.”

The day of the funeral went well. The loving devotion to our family saw us through and gave us encouragement during this time.

The presence of West helped us pay proper honor and respect to an incredible woman and servant of the Lord. Executing this part of life’s journey is an emotional challenge to a family’s collective soul and requires strength, support and compassion.

The homegoing of our mother, though difficult, was made easier by the demonstration of excellence of West Gate Funeral Home.

From our first contact, notifying them of mother’s passing until the end of the day of her funeral, he and his staff remained a steadfast support. He came to Natchez Community Hospital and handled my mother with the utmost dignity and care.

From the calm tone of their voices to how they transported her, there was a sense of honoring her and our family. We were greeted warmly from our first appointment and guided into the meeting room for the arrangements. There was meticulous attention paid to details giving us a sense of comfort and assurance.

It is people like you that make one know “God is a good God” and it is “He” who is in charge of all of our beings. It is “He” who helps us know that all humanity is not gone, and “Thanks be to God” for there are still people who care. It is the hope of my family that God’s blessing continues to rain on you as you continue to help others in distress. I cannot remember a service that compares to that rendered us by West Gate Funeral Home.
