Three men are running for mayor of Natchez. When I asked one of the candidates, Tony Fields, upon which principles he would operate, he looked me in the eyes and said, “By the law, according to my conscience and with full transparency for the people I will be serving.”

These are right answers.

He also hit on an extremely important qualification, namely, that he would never avoid or unnecessarily delay dealing with an issue.

I’ve told this man that I will support him in every way, and so I will, because I believe him.
