Services for Mrs. Leathan Lofton Herring, 96, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, in Brookhaven, will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday from Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Allen C. Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Monday from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.
Mrs. Herring was born April 26, 1910, in West Lincoln County, the daughter of Charlie and Malindia McFarland Lofton.
She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Natchez. She grew up as a member of Ramah Baptist Church in Franklin County.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband W. T. Herring.
Survivors include son, Calvin Herring and wife, Nannette, of Terry; grandchildren, Loree Herring Coleman and husband, Danny, of Eddiceton and Paige Herring and wife, Sandi, of Madison; great-grandchildren, Daniel Q. Coleman, Caroline Coleman, John Ethan Coleman, Joshua Herring and Erik Herring.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Ratcliff, Tommy Cotten, Cortez Byrd, Wallace Wesley, Jim Young and Shelby Carlisle.
Honorary pallbearers are her nephews.
