Billy Young

Billy Lewis Young, 78, a former resident of Natchez, went home to the Lord on Friday, March 9, 2007 after a courageous battle with heart disease. Services were held Friday, March 16, with burial in Grangeville Cemetery.

Mr. Young was born July 21, 1928, in Auburn, the son of Doc and Marie Young. He was employed by Armstrong Rubber Company until being transferred to the Armstrong plant in Hanford in 1967.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his loving wife, Velna Young.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Anne Young; his children, Sandra Edwards of Hanford and John Young of Coulterville, Calif.; brothers, Jimmy Roger Young of Natchez, Loyd Young of Summit and Marvin Glen Young of Vidalia; sisters, Sue McCall of Collins, Fay Silvio of Baton Rouge and Gail Rushing of Vidalia; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
